In the Industry, a Manicurist is a person who enjoys being creative and helping people.  These are people on the cutting edge of trends and styles in nail art designs. This program will encompass theoretical knowledge as well as where the student will perform all aspects of manicures and pedicures, nail art and design as well as nail enhancements (wraps, acrylic, gel).

Jama's Beauty & Barber College California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology approved curriculum for Manicurist is 400 hours and includes the study of the basic principles of Nail Technology. The nail tech student will learn to shape, file, color and paint nails.  This program will encompass theoretical knowledge where the student will perform all aspects of manicures pedicures, nail art and design as well as nail enhancements (wraps, acrylic, gel). The student will also be taught hand, calf and foot massages as an added value service for clientele. Upon successful completion of this course, students are able to demonstrate professional conduct, recognize nail disorders and diseases, and identify and perform procedures for sanitation and nail care services.
